What tights with a navy and red dress?

I’ve just bought a French navy dress with a red pattern and I’m thinking of wearing it with tan ankle boots. What colour tights would look best?

I would wear grey opaques. M&S Autograph 40 denier cotton grey opaques are excellent and work well with navy.

It depends what look you want Op- but all those saying red tights - I really can't imagine that looking at all chic or fashionable- especially with navy shoes which are alway difficult to wear without looking old fashioned. I'd probably stick to black tights and boots unless you have a beautiful pi of navy boots already- then I'd go with navy tights.

Navy opaques! I hardly wear any black (I have one pair of trousers) and no black shoes. I wear mainly navy or grey marl tights through winter with mainly dark brown, grey or navy (patent) shoes. M&S have nice navy opaques you need to make sure the shade is right. I have some other navy tights from either Asda or Sainos which are a bit lighter.
