What boots with coated black jeans?

Going out all day and night in London next week and will be wearing long charcoal sweater dress in day and short pleated whistles tunic dress at night, both over black coated jeggings. What kind of shoes/boots would you wear for this?

I have beige ash suede ankle boots that I’m tempted to dye black (as I barely ever wear them).

All other boots are: shiny pointy ankle flats, cowboy shorts (too wide) long cowboy (too cowboy-y), slim suede knee boots (just wrong and not touch enough for london traipsing).

Advice welcomed.

The total opposite of what you are thinking but I would wear trainers. I wear black Nikes with jeggings usually.

Yes I am often a trainers woman but the dinner is no trainers and would rather not bring two pairs.

I was actually going to suggest Ash ankle boots. I have black and taupe ones - the black ones are my go to. They're fabulous.

I wear mine with black leather boots - kind of docs style. These are mine. I also wear them with white trainers or I have a pair of silver high tops I wear with them as well.

Okay I’ve ordered the dye and will report back... part of me is loath to dye them as they’re a quite nice beige, realistically though I’ve worn them once in the last about three years as they’re quite ‘preppy mum’ looking. If black I’d think I’d wear them allllll the time.

@YummyBelicious they were from Mint Velvet, a Christmas present but bought when there was a 20% off code. I think they are called Debbie boots.
