Menopause hair

I am well over 50 with very little grey hair- I am blonde apparently but was a ginger as a young woman/ child. I don't dye it and I don't dry it very often with a hairdryer. I am very much a wash n go type of person.
I always had greasy hair...needed washing every day but now...it is dry and brittle and straw like. It's horrible. I can feel it sucking up water as I wash it...I use a cheapish supermarket own shampoo and conditioner for dry hair but it's not making any difference.

What can I use? I need something cheapish and simple to do.

My hair used to be my crowning glory, it is naturally poker straight and just past my shoulders.
Can anyone help?

Thank you
