Stuck in a rut - foundation

I have been using dream matte mousse since I was about 20, and I need a new, budget, easy to apply foundation-for-idiots type foundation but don't know where to start. I like it to look light, but the only reason I wear it is to cover the redness when my face flushes (I go BRIGHT red, a lot!). I'm totally rubbish with make up and other than foundation I only wear mascara so I'm not well up on blending etc. I apply my current foundation using my finger and it takes less than a minute, and it doesn't look great so would like something new, and better. I could spend up to £15ish if it lasts a while. TIA for any recommendations.

I use Bare Minerals and love it. It’s about £30 however, but lasts quite some time. You can apply it lightly for less coverage or get a full coverage look from it. It’s a doddle to apply, tap some into the lid, swirl the brush around and buff it into skin with circular motions. It’s so simple and I do it with my eyes closed.

Boots No7 tinted moisturiser. Apply with fingers, comfortable coverage and about £12, usually on a buy-one-get-one-half-price or similar. Oh and has SPF15 too.

Boots No7 is a good range at the price point you mention OP but I LOVE L’Oreal Infallible foundation— try it! Smile
