Suggestions please! Looking for a face serum that's good for daily use and will serve as a good base for make up. Preferably for combination skin. Not too fussed about price. Thank you!

If I could I'd only ever use Clinique moisture surge. It's glorious and the only face cream (although its a gel) that leaves my skin so totally hydrated but not oily and breaking out! But it's pricey and I can't afford it at the mo. Devestated. Desperately searching for a high street dupe.

@El2El thank you! I will let you know if I find any cheaper alternatives! X

A good all-rounder serum is Buffet from The Ordinary. I really like Aqualia Thermale by Vichy too. If your budget is higher have a look at Estée Lauder or Dr Sebagh.

For a moisturiser, Garnier day and night creams work well for me (the ones in the red pots, not sure what they're called) but if money was no object I'd be buying Drunk Elephant.

@jeremypaxo I had the drunk elephant polypeptide cream and didn't find it great for my skin unfortunately. I will have a look at your other suggestions - thank you x

Sisley Rose cream is AMAZING. Sisley is very generous with samples and so try it out first.

@Usernamealreadyexists ooh good to know. Thank you x
