Topshop jeans

I need some new jeans and have heard Topshop do a good range. There seem to be quite a few styles.
How skinny are the skinny ones? I don't like them so skinny they are really tight and clingy and are hard to get on/off.
I prefer higher waist and hate it when jeans go baggy. Had a pair from next that have done that and weren't cheap!
I'm 5'3" and size 12.
I see Next stock them online so planning to order some to try but would appreciate any feedback on the different styles especially any that do or definitely do not go baggy. TIA

The skinny ones with the high waist are my favourite. They are called Jamie. I've had my pair for about 4 years and they aren't baggy

I think they have a denim guide on their website. The Jamie and Joni are very skinny but they’ve others that aren’t so much.

Look and fit wise I agree they're fantastic, however I have found they are getting thinner fabric wise and all of mine have ended up with holes around the crotch etc.
I found ASOS had a good selection of similar styles/fit for less and they have thicker material. I currently live in my miss Selfridge ones!

Love top shop jeans. I was a size 12 and 5’3 and mine were Jamie 30x30.

River Island are good but skinnier I think.

Straight are my favourite, high waisted, proper denim, wash really well.

Mom are good too, a much better fit and fabric than Zara.

Skinny are a bit skinny for me, I think that may be my age though.

Joni are the most fitted however they’re also comfortable as the material is super elasticated - they were Topshop’s bestselling range a few years ago as they are very flattering. They make you look more curvy. They’re sort of a step up from a jegging, I used to size down as they were that stretchy.

Jamie are also skinny, however these are a bit tighter as the material is more premium and less elastic. Hence the slightly higher price and more premium colour options vs Joni etc. These feel more tight/clingy on, but don’t visually look as tight as Joni if that makes sense, they’re not as moulded against your figure. I would recommend sizing up in the black variants as these are always ridiculously tight. These were my personal favourites as they look better on imo, Joni look a bit basic in comparison. I also feel like Jamie hold their shape better.

Obviously in today’s climate mom/straight etc styles are the bestsellers.

How skinny are the skinny ones

I have loads of pairs of the Leigh style in different colours and fabrics and, although there is slight variation in size, they are all pretty much "spray on", I you see what I mean.

Also Jamie jeans have more pockets!

esmerelda1988 · 16/01/2020 22:11

I love how they fit but as PP said the fabric is dire. Looked washed out very quickly and are now very thin. I'd probably buy them again but they don't warrant the price so I'd try and get them on sale if you can.

Thanks all, just had a look on the next website and all the ones I want to try are out of stock in my size.

Do you have a topshop store near you? Would be handy to try some on to figure out your size etc. Do you specifically want to order with next rather than directly from topshop?
