Klarna option on GHD website

So i'm wanting to order some GHD's and take advantage of the Klarna option and pay in 2 weeks, although when it comes to the payment option, there's only two - either card or paypal, no Klarna/pay after delivery. Am i missing it somewhere? it states it should be at the checkout but i can't see it! unless i need to enter my card details first then continue?

I had this with Schuh. I went through the process of buying shoes thinking that I could get it and pay later. I went through the process it told me to in order to use Klarna. Went all the way through it and then put in my card details to get it on Klarna and it just took direct payment. Contacted Schuh and they said that it's just their payment method and that I couldn't actually split it.

That’s why I’m reluctant to enter card details. Not sure why they’re advertising Klarna when they don’t have the option. I can wait a couple of more weeks until payday but just hope they still have 20% off!

Just to let you know, I had an unauthorised payment go through on my credit card from Klarna and I'd never heard of them before.

I'd steer clear of this option if I were you. I did get my money back from the bank but it was annoying anyway because my card had to be cancelled and reissued.

They only give you the Klarna option if you pass the credit check.

I mean the pay later option. Klarna manage all the payment options whether its pay now or pay later.

Have you ordered other stuff on Klarna that is outstanding?

I’ve found they only advance you a certain amount in total at a time. So sometimes I get offered Klarna Pay later or slice at checkouts, sometimes not. Depends what else I have pending.

For me, they seem to halt at about £3-400 outstanding, either to be delivered, to be paid or paused due to return in progress.

I’ve emailed GHD about it & they’ve apparently suspended the Klarna option for the time being because of technical issues with the payment system. No I’ve haven’t used it before so no outstanding debts or anything. I’ll just have to be patient & wait until payday!

I'd be wary of Klarna- so much bad press about it and the huge amount of debt it is creating for it's target market (younger people). Late payment WILL affect your credit score badly in the turnaround time of 14 days onwards and they sell unpaid debt onto 'debt collection' agencies very swiftly.

Read an interesting article about their profit stemming largely from the fact that people are tempted to spend significantly more on clothing websites (30%) than they do without the option. The increased spending culture of buying things one can't afford because of Klarnas casual marketing is a minefield and a ticking time bomb.

Not suggesting you are not aware or capable to manage your own finances OP, at all, just wanted to generally mention it as it was on topic. GHD's are quite often cheap on amazon or on ASOS/Feel Unique if there is a code available.
