Late 50s.....full skirts with lots of paper nylon waist slips. Early 60s.... short shift dresses with tights replacing stockings and those horrible suspender belts.

It's a coincidence this has popped back up now, I saw this SilkFred dress and thought of this thread earlier.

I can confirm the dresses would be so easy to make. The patterns still online and could whip one up in an afternoon
