I’m loving the current BBC drama on the Profumo affair. I also love the costumes! Christine’s coats and dresses are beautiful. Any idea where I can find bracelet sleeve cocoon coats and elbow length shift dresses?

Hmm. Sounds like I might need longer and thicker hair.

I'm very late to the thread but there are some companies that do some fabulous reproduction vintage clothes and they might have some reproduction dresses and coats that are similar to what you are looking for :

Late 50s.....full skirts with lots of paper nylon waist slips. Early 60s.... short shift dresses with tights replacing stockings and those horrible suspender belts.

It's a coincidence this has popped back up now, I saw this SilkFred dress and thought of this thread earlier.

I can confirm the dresses would be so easy to make. The patterns still online and could whip one up in an afternoon
