Help me find a killer dress?

Ok maybe not KILLER killer.
It's my DPs significant birthday soon and we are going out to a naice restaurant with some friends to celebrate.

I want to look nice for myself of course (love a reason to dress up) and also him (since it's his birthday).
I'm looking for a red dress maybe off shoulder/Bardot style.

But I am a size 12, have an obvious mum tum and carry weight on my arms as well as legs/calves so I would like it to hide at least my tummy and arms - definitely not boob tube/strapless.
Would love a bodycon that actually holds you in rather than clings to all the rolls 😂

Any links appreciated!

What’s your budget?

Hellbentwellwent · 12/01/2020 23:17

Key to getting the run held in is the right underwear not the dress. Get some Spanx or similar, Debenhams usually have a good range and get your silhouette smoothed outs wear the shape wear when you’re shopping so you know what the drsss will actually look like on.

Red is a hard colour to pull off especially if you’re trying to minimise wobbly bits, have you considered a rich ruby / burgundy rather than poker hot red?

I have no idea how to do a clicky attachment sorry but if you look on bravisimo (the bra people)
They have a very nice red dress on there.

Zoe Vine; dresses that make you feel amazing!

Agree, don’t rely on the dress to keep everything in - good shape wear does that job!

I saw a lovely burgundy red dress at hobbs recently, I think. IIRC it was in the sale as well.

Hmmm just had a look and it wasn’t hobbs.

I’ll try to remember where it was!
