Hi everyone. I’ve got a “doo” in a couple of weeks and starting to panic now about getting an outfit. The invite says “black tie optional” although I know the host isn’t wearing a tux so I guess it’s not super formal?

The problem I have is that I’m quite short (about 5ft 2) and have big boobs. I’ve never found a maxi dress that doesn’t swamp me and I’m really fussy on necklines as I feel anything other than v neck makes me my boobs look saggy. I’m usually a size 10, I’m still fitting in to that after Christmas and I’m only weight watchers again but my belly is still quite saggy/lumpy so I don’t want anything too tight.....

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to look? Debenhams used to be my go to but I find it terrible now and full of junk

Wrap dress? That would work? Needs to hit you just above the knee.

Check out silkfred.

The pretty dress company and Bomshell have some lovely looking dresses

Quiz is my go too for dresses, they have everything and so reasonably priced. Always get compliments on my dresses from there

Thanks everyone!

Silk Fred comes up on my FB a lot. Do people rate it? The stuff looks nice but I thought the ads looked a bit dubious.....are they quite reliable?

Ooh Pretty Dress company, I’m sure I’ve ordered from them before ages ago. I’ll give them a try, I’m sure I got a nice 50s style dress from there before which was good for my body shape.

I’ve seen nice dresses from Quiz before but I’ve worried that I’m too old and too flabby for it! (I’m 33) Are the dresses true to size? I don’t know why but they look teeny tiny!

SilkFred is super. Lots of different unique brands and their own range. Had no issues with them at all.
