Enameloplasty / tooth contouring ... any experience?

I've always felt self conscience about my 2 front teeth. They are a bit overlong and when I smile I feel a bit horsey!

I was thinking about having some of the enamel reduced to even them up with my canines - called an enameloplasty. Has anyone had this procedure before and if so, were they happy with the results? Was it painful? Are there any negatives?
And what sort of price did you pay?

Thanks is advance for your help

I had a bit when my braces came off, just to even the edges.

It was brill! No pain, not expensive and just made them look so much nicer. Probably no-one else will ever notice though, as it's quite subtle - you don't want to be taking too much enamel off.

When I say 'no-one would notice', I mean it isn't obvious what I did, just that my teeth look nicer... more 'polished' somehow.
