Has anyone tried this? It gets great reviews but is so expensive!

I like a light feeling moisturiser and want something with spf.

I tried it but didn't feel it was worth the money. I'd expect something bloody amazing for that price and it just felt average. That said, I'm still trying to find the Holy Grail moisturiser. Now on REN anti-aging cream and not particularly loving that either but at least it's significantly cheaper :-)

workshyfop · 12/01/2020 11:11

I really like it. It is light feeling and calms my skin. My skin looks better when I use it. Very pricey though.

NastyRotter · 12/01/2020 11:13

It made my skin soft but the smell is awful. Smells fishy and I could smell it all day,

Nanasueathome · 12/01/2020 11:15

I’ve used it
It’s ok....but that’s about it
QVC have Elemis offers and you also get a 30day money back guarantee with them so if you don’t like it within 30 days you can return it and have your money back

RJnomore1 · 12/01/2020 11:15

I love it, it’s my favourite as it just suits my skin. No idea about the fishy smell but I don’t have a great sense of smell at the best of times.

GetOffTheTableMabel · 12/01/2020 11:19

I like the scent and it’s a decent enough moisturiser, nice packaging, good feel to the cream, easily absorbed but I’m not intending to repurchase. For me, the results do not justify the price. I have used many things that produced similar results that cost less.

hopeishere · 12/01/2020 12:25

Thanks. I'll check out the QVC thing. If I can send it back that's good.

I didn’t like it. It moisturising enough & hated the smell.

Darklane · 12/01/2020 14:25

Sorry, not moisturising enough. Wish there was an edit facility on here.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/01/2020 14:27

I didn't like the PCMC Day cream, it smelled "wheaty" to me . ( Lots of reviews on Liz Earle Superskin smelling fishy )

I did like the Night PCMC , it smelled like those little "Quickies" cleansing pads in the blue tub (80s throwback here Grin )

YY to try QVC. Often do kits so you can try different items from the range .

OrinocoGlow · 12/01/2020 14:29

I really like the Pro Collagen Night Cream, it's lovely but rarely buy it as so expensive. I've tried the Pro Collagen day cream but didn't find it hydrating enough. I prefer the Liz Earle Super Skin with Neroli for day and use the M&S Sleep Cream for night - much much cheaper and suit my skin just as well or better.

TheCanterburyWhales · 12/01/2020 15:43

As others have said it's a very light, almost lotion consistency. I love the smell (Dior Poison!) and fell for the hype more than once but it did nothing for me. it's also full of "cones" (silicones) so makes your skin "pill"

I love the Liz Earle Superskin mentioned by Orinoco and also use that as a day cream. At night I slop Nivea or Weleda skin food on, especially at this time of year.

waddlingfrog · 12/01/2020 16:00

My DH has been buying me this for the last couple of years and I loved it, I then started a more in-depth skin care routine and that's when I saw my skin change so much for the better. The products I'm using are from The Ordinary so much more reasonably priced, I then switched out the Elemis in favour of La Roche Posay and my skin has never looked better.

So although I love the lightness of the products and smell they really just don't seem worth the expense . The only thing I don't see myself giving up is the cleansing balm as they managed to clear every last scrap of makeup away.

Cliffdonville · 12/01/2020 17:27

I love it, it suits my skin and I've noticed a real difference since I switched about 3 years ago. I use the day and night cream, and the mask about twice a month.

OrinocoGlow · 16/01/2020 20:08

@hopeishere I've just seen you can get 22% discount on Elemis today on lookfantastic.com which might help if you're still interested. The code is SKIN22.

hopeishere · 16/01/2020 20:13

Thanks!

@waddlingfrog what products are you using from The Ordinary? I find it all a bit overwhelming!

Tatapie · 19/01/2020 07:34

I like the marine facial oil
