Trousers instead of jeans - find me some?

I'm always wearing skinny jeans, mostly shades of navy. I'd like ot 'graduate' to something more stylish for the office. We are smart casual and jeans and nice trainers are perfectly acceptable for instance.
I'm petite and don't like looking like I'm drowning in my clothes but at 40+ I don't want skin tight either
Where should I be looking and what is 'on trend'

Tapered trousers are lovely teamed with smart trainers for a dressed up casual look. They’re not skin tight, but have some tailoring to them.

I wear smart-casual for work. I usually wear tapered or 3/4 black trousers from Next with a pair of smart trainers (not sports ones).
