Hi lovely S&B ers, hoping for some advice 🙂
I've been using Benefit They're Real mascara for a while now, and am nearly out of my current supply. I seem to be spending A LOT on makeup these days and wondered if anyone has any recommendations for a good but less expensive option? Preferably something I can pick up from Boots! Any suggestions?

Not boots but the Princess lashes one (it’s black with green writing) From Wilko is fabulous. I swopped from Lancôme and live it more

Bogoffrain · 10/01/2020 11:37

Love it not live it

I used to use a Maybelline one which was really good. Can’t remember the specific one, though.

I'm using a Maybelline brown one currently - have used it everyday for a fortnight and found it easy to put on and remove and (which is a big bonus for me) it doesn't smudge and leave me looking like a panda.
I cant remember which of Marbelline's many mascaras it is but its in a pale pink chunky case and cost £9.99.
I'd read a good review of what I think they call their false lash mascara but that only came in black which is too dark for me.

Prior to the Maybelline one I'd been using the Clinique glossy mascara, which did the job but was more expensive

Max factor false lash effect is good

Lobsterquadrille2 · 10/01/2020 16:51

Rimmel Wonder Luxe for me at the moment - I go through Rimmel, Maybelline and L'Oreal and find them all pretty good.

Redwinestillfine · 10/01/2020 16:56

Maybelline great lash mascara, the only one I have found that doesn't clump

queenjaneapprox · 10/01/2020 17:06

I posted a similar question and got this one after quite a few recommendations. I'm really impressed. It's cheaper in store but there isn't a wilko near me.

Max Factor masterpiece max

Hoolahlah66 · 10/01/2020 17:43

L’Oréal million lashes. I have been using it for 10 years and love it. Every other make up item I own is premium brand but have yet to find a better mascara!

Maybelline lash sensational

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 10/01/2020 18:23

Loreal Paradise is my absolute favourite. Has a nice soft, fluffy brush and doesnt flake at all. Might try that Wilko one though.

CakeInMyFace · 10/01/2020 18:39

Thanks for all the fabulous suggestions ladies! I'm going to try them all one at a time. @Azura2019 I'm starting with your maybelline suggestion as had it at my local Boots!

Honestly, Max Factor Masterpiece Max - brilliant. Tried most, but always come back to this.

wasnotwasweregood · 10/01/2020 19:44

Nyx Doll eyes - doesn't shift during the day but washes off really easily.

Freefalling123 · 10/01/2020 19:48

Maybelline for me too - can’t remember which one, something like lash sensation?

I’ve got really sparse lashes, but this is amazing.

MelanieFrontage · 10/01/2020 22:22

Maybelline lash sensational, miles better then the Benefit They’re Real that it has replaced.

Janaih · 10/01/2020 22:26

Maybelline great lash BIG. and I've tried so many pricey ones but none compare.

Fruityb · 10/01/2020 22:27

I use primark - the gold tube or the rose gold one. About £2.50 each and they’re awesome. I stock up regularly. They last about a month to six weeks and I wear mascara every day. Don’t flake and last all day: I’ve swapped from Benefit to this.

Drinkciderfromalemon · 10/01/2020 23:50

Maybelline lash sensation here too, love it.

LoveSummerLife · 11/01/2020 00:20

maybelline lash temptation

ClinkyMonkey · 11/01/2020 01:18

I have started using Maybelline Snapscara and really love it. It's a tubing mascara and doesn't smudge under my eyes. It gives pretty good length and volume compared to other tubing mascaras I have used.

SpeckledyHen · 11/01/2020 06:11

Technic Megalash on Amazon . Recommended on here .£2.55 !!

I can’t do a link as it shows my details but it is brilliant.

Muuuuuuuum · 11/01/2020 06:21

Depending on what you want your mascara to look like, Glossier's mascara is good (£14, online only).

I find it great for everyday - adds length and volume to my (quite short) lashes without looking clumpy or too mascara-y. I do use something with a bit more impact for going out though.
