Over the years the hair at the front of my head has receded further and further. I dream of bouncy beautiful hair but mine is just too thin and ages me incredibly (I'm only 42...). I've stumbled upon the Lucinda Ellery website and the transformations using their intralace system are incredible. Reviews online are, mostly, positive. I've booked myself in for a consultation. Before I potentially spend a bucket full of money... any present or past Ellery customers on here ? I'll be visiting the London office. Feedback most appreciated !!

Hi

I’ve got an appointment with Hairsolved booked and I know or think they start around £800 but wondered if anyone could share their pics and what the cost was. Also, how much is the payment plan. I just want to be prepared for when I go and stop my jaw hitting the ground lol.

Susan I’d love to know how your appointment with hairsolved went? I’m trying to decide whether to suck up the higher price and go with Lucinda because one of their salons is very close to me, or to trek to hairsolved every month because it’s more economical and people seem to prefer the service. If anyone else experienced both I’d love to know if there is much difference in quality between LE and Hairsolved 🙏🏼

Hello all,
I wanted to share my experience with Lucinda Ellery, so when people are deciding upon using this ‘business’ they are fully aware of how it can go wrong, how LE respond to complaints, and their overall consultation process.
At the time of writing my formal complaint to them, I was unaware that the company is “unregulated” which basically means they are not controlled or supervised by regulations or laws. Which is very problem here, they never improve because they don’t have to. I hope you take the time to read this and make your decision wisely.
If I can prevent just one person from having to endure the problems I have encountered at LE, then the time taken to post my experience will be worth it.

Are you going to tell us what the problems were then Amberlina? And which regulations do you wish they had in place? All sounds a bit cryptic so far.

I saw this thread and wanted to add a warning too - I used LE for 10 years, I have almost no hair left. The system damages the roots and can cause permanent alopecia. Age, menopause, auto immune problems and covid can exacerbate the problem of hair loss but any of the systems used including normal hair extensions will end up causing permanent bald patches or total hair loss. Wigs are ok but too hot in Summer and can cause scalp irritation. Sadly the only thing to spend money on that would be safe is a consultation with a good trichologist. Some minimal hair loss can be covered up with clip in extensions etc but any of the systems if worn regularly will damage the hair and scalp. Its devastating for most women and can impact on your life and work. I've had problems for many years but the system that was put on has cause 80% of my hair to come out and most will not grow back. If you have any hair see a trichologist for help or wear a temporary thing that can be taken off at night or left off for some days other wise you risk loosing the hair you have left. My life was so badly affected by hair loss its caused terrible depression and anxiety and affected relationships and the work I do. good luck everyone and do the research before starting any of these things!

Hi I have an appointment next week with hair solved, Can I ask has your hair been damaged with the system they use ?
thank you

fairjane · 05/07/2022 11:48

Sorry next bit of the message,
Does hairsolved use the same system as LE

fairjane · 05/07/2022 19:09

what is optima hair system actually

HappyGOAT2022 · 08/07/2022 15:22

Not sure if Hairsolved use the same system as Lucinda Ellery but anything that gets attached to the hair you have left will, over time, cause permanent damage and the hair follicles die back under the tension of being pulled into the hair 'connection'. If you have any underlying health problems you can sometimes get financial help for these hair replacement systems - they are prosthetics, ie they are hair that is added and attached to your own hair using systems with mesh, extension type connections, glue and binding. The scalp needs to breath and be clean and healthy for hair to grow, so prolonged use as with the LE system does over time cause permanent damage, although some people who have minimal bald patches can use it for a short length of time and the hair can regrow under the hidden section, but most people I have seen over the years are like me, they gradually lost the remaining hair they had and then all the salon can do is shave your scalp and use wig tape to stick sections of the system down... if you can see a Dr or get different form of help it could save your hair in the long run. For many people just looking vaguely 'normal' is such a priority they, like me, carry on with it even though you see the damage that is done. I really hope you find a good solution, good luck!

Can I ask does Hair solved use the same interlace system as Lucinda Ellery

Sleepthiefismyfavourite · 29/03/2023 13:25

@fairjane they use their own patented system I think, but yes pretty much a variation of the same
