Is there such thing as a nice looking bike helmet?

I’m really in to riding my bike, haven’t been on any roads yet but I’d still like a helmet just in case. They’re all so ugly and big though! Does anyone know where I can get a nice one that is still affective from?

It depends on the shape of your head. I usually have to try on different styles to find one that doesn't make me look like a mushroom!

I'm currently using a Giro Savant and it's ok. TBH I don't give a fuck about how I look in a helmet as long as it does the job.

CycleChic ?

Having seen the deformation in my sons helmet when car and helmet met at 20mph, I'm all about the proper fit (it needs to be held on your head by the fit) and effectiveness. Kask helmets work for our family head shape, so I wear a Kask Moijito

I have a bern Lenox in white. I think it looks good and is functional.

You want one with a bit of a swoosh and a nice colour. Thats as trendy as you will get. If you get one with the detachable peak that makes it look less blocky. Also handy for keeping the rain off your face.

Don't buy the cheapest but a mid range one will do.

For looking stylish you are better off getting a nice cycling jersey. You can buy cute gloves with bows on.

As pps said you 100% must get the right fit, it should be snug under your chin without more than finger of space and not move around on your head. It is primarily about safety.

CycleChic looks good until I visualise my sweaty red face in the helmets Smile

Cyclechic looks good! Going to see if somewhere local stocks them so I can try them on.
Not sure I feel confident enough for the road yet but I still want to be safe on the streets.

I have a kask mojito, it sits in very neat around your head and doesn't make it look like you have a big mushroom head. But try before you buy and shop around for discounts (I bought one last week for £61 which is considerably less than rrp)
