After sitting looking at myself for two hours in the hairdressers mirror,I'm considering everything.😀
Are they the most unflattering things ever?!
Considering asking her to cover the mirror next time I go

Grin I say this everytime I go. Its the combination of harsh overhead lighting, unforgiving side-lit daylight from windows and full-length —cheap— mirrors. I hate them and combined with the standard issue black hairdresser’s shroud, I look like Ive been dug up, when i should look at least presentable after hours of preening.

If any salon owners are reading, please:

Install flattering lighting - think dining table level
diffuse harsh daylight from windows
Replace black capes with white

All of what you said Nights but to add insult to injury why are hair salons located on a busy high streets with fully glazed windows with no blinds? My hairdresser always directs me to the chair at the front of the salon so the world can see me...... [hmmm]

It's the worst! I had to sit there for hours last week getting highlights so I took my contact lenses out to look reasonably attractive in the mirror.

The mirror in the lift at work is just as bad. It's enough to make you take the stairs. Almost.

I always find most of my make up gets washed off too, just to complete the glamorous look Grin

This is the joy of being shortsighted, I remove my specs, gaze at the the blurred soft focus reflection and let them get on with it.
