How do you store your soap? And other greener living questions.

I want to start using soap in the shower rather than shower gel but how do you store it?
And which would you recommend?
There seem to be loads and loads of websites selling stuff. Could you recommend the best one?
Do you buy reusable cleanser pads? Are they good?
If I can't use tampons because I feel sore would I be able to use a moon up?

Soul and soap shampoo bars and conditioner bars come in little tins for travel. I keep them on a metal rack in the shower.
