Hereditary turkey-necks - am I doomed?

Apologies if this thread sounds horribly vain but... Every female on my mum's side of the family has the dreaded turkey neck that moves independently. I look just like my mum, and am already starting to see signs of my own turkey neck even though I'm only in my late thirties, have always been slim, and kind of hoped this would head it off for a few more years but no. Is there anything I can do? Do neck exercises work? Or is there no point? I am fully open to the idea of surgery further down the line!

I have no advice to offer, but I'm in the same boat - mid thirties, slim etc and in the past year I've suddenly realised I can see my mother's turkey neck developing before my eyes. I almost didn't recognise myself in a recent photo where I'm side on. It's thoroughly depressing.

DM has tried all sorts of creams and lotions and nothing seems to have worked. I suspect nothing short of surgery will....
