What’s happened to kids wellies?

Is it me or have kids wellies got shorter? DD age 9 is a size 1 and I’m struggling to find decent knee length wellies.

Most are calf length or even shorter. Is it a fashion thing? If they’re wading in water doesn’t it go over the tops? So many questions.

I thought exactly the same when trying to buy some yesterday for my 9 year old dd! Eventually got some in M&S, which are a decent length.

I had a look and couldn’t find any either. Weird, I definitely had knee high ones when I was a child.

Next had some normal height ones, but then that's in the boys section. They're just plain black though

Glad it’s not just me! Maybe there’s not much left after the sales.
