In the washing machine? Not had it dry cleaned like it says on the label?

Does it need cleaning? I have my winter coat cleaned every spring ready for the next autumn/winter. (oh God, does that make me massive slattern?!).

It will when i have worn it, over a few months.
Im just saying i dont live near any dry cleaners, so wondering if anyone has ever washed one in the washer on a low temp

Our local Timpsons shop on Asda and Tesco car parks does dry cleaning.
