Anyone tried this? Worth the money/time?

I like it as I have stubby eyelashes, but only get it if I'm going on holiday. It doesn't create as good an effect as eye lash curlers and mascara, but it does open your eyes up. I've dary eyelashes though, can imagine it's more of an obvious effect if you're fair. Also cant tell the difference between LVL and old fashioned dye and curl. Million time better than eyelash extensions though, they destroyed my natural lashes

itcamefrombeckyvardysaccount · 04/01/2020 15:48

I have. Couldn't see any difference.

I prefer a longer more noticeable lash.

Took over an hour and literally no difference.

DickDewy · 04/01/2020 15:49

Made no difference to mine.

Writersblock2 · 04/01/2020 15:51

I thought it was rubbish.

Purplecatshopaholic · 04/01/2020 15:51

Hmmm, food for thought!

I bought the kit on amazon and did it myself, but kept each stage on for 30 minutes not 20 as recommended. Works really well and lasts 6 weeks if you take care of them (don't get wet for 48 hours after application)

itcamefrombeckyvardysaccount · 04/01/2020 16:07

Semi perm lashes destroyed mine too.

I'm back to using strips.

You can get a double pack of light lashes (thin and not too heavy and easy to apply) from home and bargain for 1.99

Swiftier · 04/01/2020 17:40

I love it. I have long but straight lashes so it makes my lashes much more noticeable (I’ve been asked if I’m wearing extensions before). I don’t need to wear any mascara when I’ve had it done.

peaceanddove · 04/01/2020 17:45

I wasn't impressed and tried it twice. I invested in some genuine Shu Umera eyelash curlers and watched YouTube on how to properly use them and the effect is amazing. People notice and ask if I've had lash extensions.

NeedAnExpert · 04/01/2020 17:47

I have it every 4 weeks. Saves me hours every week (used to have to fiddle around for ages fighting their stubbornness with various curlers and gels). Now a quick flick of mascara and they’re good to go.

WeeDangerousSpike · 04/01/2020 17:50

A colleague had it done for her wedding and it looked fab (I didn't go to the wedding, I only saw it at work with no mascara.) really opened her eyes up and looked lolike she had the most fabulously long lashes.

But. As it grew out she had real trouble with them curling every which way and looking a complete mess and poking her in the eye.

Apparently lleven if you have it redone regularly it damages the lashes and they can ho a bit haywire and break off etc. Like repeatedly perming your hair I guess.

XXcstatic · 04/01/2020 17:53

I had them for a big occasion. They were great for the first couple of weeks and did make my eyes look more open. After that, I found them annoying because the lashes started sticking out at odd angles.

I might have them again for a special occasion but not regularly.

WeeDangerousSpike · 04/01/2020 18:06

Good grief the typos! Sorry!

Top pic attached is kind of what they went like, but hers went a lot more sidewards as well as curling up and down.

I love having mine done, can't currently as pregnant. I have short lashes and it really makes the most of the length, making them look longer and opens my eyes out. I have had no issue with them "going every which way" as it wore off. I wouldn't get it done every time it wore off though as I don't think it's good for your lashes over a prolonged period (much like perming your hair isn't).

beautifulstranger101 · 04/01/2020 18:12

Theyre aiight, nothing amazing and it damaged my lashes quite badly. They were sticking up at all angles and much more sparse once it worse off. Its basically like a perm for lashes.

Jedstre · 04/01/2020 20:28

Same as some other posters. It looks good initially but then some of the lashes seem to grow back at odd angles. I’m happy with eyelash curlers, heated first with hairdryer, then a good mascara.

NeedAnExpert · 04/01/2020 20:37

Never experienced them going haywire or getting damaged. Mine tend to have new, straight lashes come through between appts that need curling and this happens at different speeds and rates. Have been having it done for maybe 2.5 years now, and no issues whatsoever. Confused

Bellyfullofbiscuits · 04/01/2020 20:39

I found it a total waste of money tbh

Rachelfromfriends1 · 04/01/2020 21:17

Haven’t had it done myself but my friends have, I think it can look amazing! Can’t comment on the logistics as it grows out, as they’ve never had issues.

DelightfulBox · 04/01/2020 21:20

I have it done every couple of months and rate it. Never had any issues and it saves me bothering with mascara.

SpeckledyHen · 04/01/2020 21:21

Had it done once and it was fine to start with. 3 weeks later the lashes on one eye started to frazzle and grow out at random angles . Awful.
