Uncomfortable bra / wrong style maybe?

I have a 32f pair of boobs. Not that big. Unfortunately if l purchase that size it kills me under my armpit. I’ve resorted to just wearing 34DD / kind of the sister size... but not right.
What type of shape should l go for to help prevent the pain / indentations?
Thank u 😊

Could be the brand or style of bra that's the issue

withlotsoflove · 04/01/2020 16:04

Yes... it’s so difficult to find the correct shape. My boobs are ordinary shaped. Grin

If it hurts under your armpit, you probably need a larger cup size so that all your breast tissue is in the cup

dementedpixie · 04/01/2020 16:28

Some wires come up further into the armpits depending on brand

withlotsoflove · 04/01/2020 17:52

Thank u both. Maybe l will measure again.
Yes, it could be l need a bigger cup. As l have realised / and from learning on here, that breast tissue is under the armpit too! Smile

I measured again.
Band is about 32.5 and over is 39...

That is around 32F. What style/brand do you wear?

dementedpixie · 04/01/2020 18:11

34E would be the sister size

withlotsoflove · 04/01/2020 18:19

I wear Freya / Next
Actually Next mainly, as l got so fed up with my expensive ones causing pain.

I’m wearing a 34DD at the moment.

The style is slightly padded/ push up - kind of, l suppose.

I’m watching with interest, OP.

I was measured as 32F in Rigby & Pellet, but literally NO style of bra is comfortable in this style. Feels way, way too tight. Hurts at the band underneath my breasts and under my armpits. Tried 34E and no better. I’ve tried t-shirt bras (possibly least worst), full cup, push up, balconette etc. I wish I could find ONE bra that doesn’t feel uncomfortable!

I’ve come to loathe bras.

Rigby & Peller

Don't laugh, but Tesco do bras in your size. I'm same cup, bigger band. They are cheap but surprisingly comfy as the bands are made of a softer, stretchier fabric than the more expensive brands. You don't get quite as much support, but you get comfort. I can't bear bras that dig in under the arms. I've got a couple of Tesco ones I'm very happy with, they are better than some of my expensive ones.

withlotsoflove · 04/01/2020 18:36

Oh cheese l feel your pain - it’s frustrating. I might try a 34 E as in my DD l do spill out a bit too!
Although in my case a 34 band is comfy. I just know it’s too big though. I need a 33 bra Grin

I measure as a 34dd but with underwired started being in agony, along the band mainly (I do have costochondritis rib pain though) I bought an unwired, totally unattractive Playtex (!!!) in a 40c (wtf?) and am in heaven.

Little update!
Just tried a 34E from M&S - feels so comfortable. I’m actually surprised!
Perfect fit. The centre is absolutely flat between the middle of my breasts. I’ve never been able to achieve that with previous makes/ sizes / styles. Smile

I HATE bras with the wire that comes up too high. This one - Lacey from bravissimo is a dream. I’ve tried so many I hope they never discontinue it.

lacey

withlotsoflove · 11/01/2020 12:59

Thank u Bill that does look comfy.
I’m shocked at the M&S working out!
