I hate my hair at present!
Bit of a Backstory , it’s been being cut somewhere for years and years.Coloured twice a year with me doing box colours in between.
In November it needed cutting and was cut.it also needed colouring so I decided to do a box colour with the colour number recommended.
The cut I wasn’t happy with so they came back done a bit more few weeks later .Then I put colour on ready for December.Ive spent all of December with the most awful colour and cut I’ve ever had and really unhappy with hair.New year, I’ve decided I’m done with old cheaper hairdresser.
Went for consultation today and it’s going to cost around £123-140 for full head tint( lots of them) and cut.To get it back to how it was a few years ago.I think this is a lot and don’t want my desperation to cloud my judgement .
Most places In my area would probably charge this( just outside London)
So.... would you pay, do you pay this price and how often?
The stylist said that once we re back to the colour I want after this, it would never be as expensive again it’s just a lot of colour/tints are going to be used for my original blonde colour to be returned.

I get my hair cut Sheffield City Centre and pay £91.00 for cut and colour so I don't think that's bad for Outer London prices

I always leave the salon with my hair damp & don't pay for a blow dry. It costs me £63 to have wet cut & colour using Aveda products (Hampshire)

I’m in the NW and go to a local salon rather than large chain. I have short hair and pay £70 for a cut and full head tint (dark brown).

At a hairdresser, £65-100.

Try a mobile hairdresser, they tend to be a lot cheaper.

Some colleges and salons advertise for models, including colour correction work- the cuts are typically free and colour work depends on how many tubes of colour are used, usually around £20-30.

If you get a junior trainee at a really nice salon that does their training after hours, they're usually very well supervised by a salon director or whoever. If you get a newly qualified stylist they generally get less supervision as they're practicing their timings. Either way you have to be very flexible, and expect to be there for a very long time.

I think I’ve been having haircuts and cheaper colouring for past 3-4 years( along with the box dyes) an that may be the problem.
I’ll have to suck it up Hmm
