Wedding crashers fancy dress ideas

Hi all

I'm attending an event two weeks from today and the fancy dress theming is 'wedding crashers'

Im not brilliant with fancy dress at the best of times but I'm working post Xmas so with next to no budget and I'm stumped for ideas for this theme

Part of our group is going as the hen party (it's s friend of theirs stag/hen do) so that's pretty much ruled out although I have got a bride/bridesmaid option.

I'm mostly struggling with ideas for my husband and would really like a couples costume. All thoughts and input appreciated.

So far I've come up with Marge and Homer, a fork and spoon and Scott and Charlene. I did say I was stumped!

I don’t really understand the theme but could you go as waiting staff?

Or lounge singers?

Or if you’re happy in something more revealing, a white bikini beach wedding outfit and DH in Baywatch red swim shorts.

I don't get the theme either... does it just mean 'dressed as if you're going to a wedding' (that you're not invited to)

Don't wedding crashers just wear what you'd normally wear as a guest at a wedding? You could perhaps try to recreate what a famous couple have worn to a high profile wedding - Beatrice and Eugenie with their strange headwear at Prince William's wedding? But they obviously weren't crashing the wedding. It a strange theme, really!

Is it something to do with the movie Wedding Crashers?

You could go as members of Busted?
