Experience of dry body brushing

Anyone do dry body brushing? Interested in the aspect of lymphatic drainage, but if it improves my skin condition, that would be a bonus of course.

Any hints/tips, videos or blogs to watch?

TIA

I used to do it years ago and every now and again start up again.

I’m not an expert but just did upward strokes and concentrated on my thighs, bum, and upper arms. I used upward strokes and circular strokes on my stomach which may not be ‘correct’.

In my opinion it is brilliant, there was a noticeable improvement in the firmness and tone and overall appearance of my skin. Not just immediately after but all the time while I was regularly doing it.

I lost my original brush which was from The Body Shop and bought a replacement which was too harsh. I got another from Boots I think which is softer and more tolerable.

I do it every morning before a shower, it takes around 3 minutes. I just stroke towards my heart. I don't know if my skin is firmer etc. but I'm in my 50s and don't have cellulite, and if I miss it for a few days I find that my ankles swell up.

I also seem to miss the bugs that go around, even when my kids are passing it to each other.

Thanks for the feedback. Will have a look at brushes next week when I'm in town.

Thanks for this reminder, only do it sporadically despite brush hanging up in my bathroom. I'm getting back on it!

I've ordered a brush as neither H&B or The Bodyshop seem to stock them in store.

Glad to be of service @lotusbell
