Style / looks and customer service treatment!

I've had a few experiences recently where I've really noticed the difference in customer service I've received compared to others.

I noticed two women receiving over and above customer service whilst I've been mostly ignored.

They were both tall and slim, good hair and seemed really confident and seemed to have staff fawning over them.

I'm slim but short, plain looking and dress with a ordinary style and often feel invisible in shops / hairdressers.

Has anyone noticed similar things? Once was in Jigsaw, once in a high end watch shop and once in a hairdressers, so all places you'd expect a bit of extra service I guess!

Is it that their confidence attracts people wanting to help, or that their looks / style indicate they have money to spend?

My guess, like what you have said is the winning combination of confidence and money!Wink

Across the road from where I live is a quite fancy department store.
Some mornings I run over in a trackie with no makeup and hair scraped back to buy bread and milk. Those mornings I am treated with civility at best.
If I go in having had a blow dry and with nice clothes and make up, I get free shopping bags, offers to carry my bag to the car, you name it. It is laughable really
