Hi.
I currently wear a wig from the Rene of Paris Amore collection, called Codi in Ginger Brown.
Unfortunately the ends are going frizzy and I think it's time for a change.
That said, I can't really afford a new one of the above at £200 a go, so wondered if anyone had any experience with some of the cheaper brands?
Are they just as good?
Are the comfortable to wear all day?
I have a cheap one from a different company and its itchy to wear and very very big and full, not great if I'm honest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you watched any of the YouTube vids on how to revatalise wigs? There's a lot out there...synthetic wigs can be gently coaxed back into a good state.

Long time wig wearer here. I wouldn’t go for a cheaper manufacturer than Amore/RoP/Jon Renau etc as they start to look like cosplay wigs. However, Codi is expensive because of its cap construction. If you go for one without monofilament the cost comes down a lot. So If you like a bob, something like Jon Renau Kristen or RoP Tori are worth looking at. Valentines Wigs has 30% off all Amore wigs today - and I assume if you are a medical wearer you are also getting your VAT back? If you forgo monofilament, you are generally better with a rooted colour for a better look at the parting. IME it’s really hard to rejuvenate a synthetic wig once it starts to frizz - I reckon a max of 100 wears per wig for me and it’s done.

Reese and sky are also nice - a bit heavy on the permatease so need a wash or two to calm them down but much cheaper than codi.

Jon Renau Blair is also a cheap wig - again no monofilament, very basic cap, but super comfy and lightweight.

Thank you Ilovecherries. I will check those wigs out right now. You have made my night!!
You are right, I have tried almost everything to rejuvenate the ends, but sadly no luck. Luckily it's still passable unless uo close, so will be ok until I choose a new one.
Thanks again for your help!

No prob, hope you find something you like. I find Valentines wigs have the best prices for RoP/Amore/Ellen Wille and Simply Wigs for Jon Renau. For cap comfort, Jon Renau has the edge for me, but I haven’t yet had a wig that I can’t wear for long periods. Anything I can help with just ask, you can always PM me if you don’t want to ask in public :)
