Neat ponytail. What tools do you use to achieve this?

Hi, please can anybody help with the above?

It doesn’t help that my stylist has cut more layers in than normal, so my ponytail looks less than neat.

I’m sure I saw an advert or something on social media where a woman puts her hair in a ponytail then smooths the sides top ends etc down after to create a smooth look. Do you know what it was?

Any help will be appreciated, thank you 💐💐💐

Hairspray would smooth down any flyways, but actual layers that don't fit in the bobble would need grips.

Smooth serum over once it's tied?

I was going to post asking what the best ponytail bands were ? Which ones don't wreck hair ?
I've got some of the spiral springy ones but are there better ones? Noticed a few split ends Blush but my hair is due to be trimmed .

I’ll try using serum @70isaLimitNotaTarget

I’d just ordered some of those spiral ones myself to see how they go.

At the very least, they might look better than the usual ones.

The spiral ones fall out of my hair. I've started using almost cloth ones. Not scrunchies! They do leave a mark but they don't seem to break my hair.
As for layers... I've got Fringe gate going on... Can do nothing with it. I feel yr pain!
