Japanese Style

Is anybody else inspired by Japanese style - I find it hard to define but think natural fibres, loose layers. I have never actually been to Japan but would love to go.
A Japanese woman once told me that whilst Europeans design so the garment fits the body , in Japan it is about the space between the body and clothes. I found this concept lovely.
Anybody want to explore with me?

There was a really good thread about this previously. I'm afraid I'm not good at timelines- it feels as though it was a couple of months ago, so it was probably 12-15mo ago. Talked about different brands, natural fibres, mini, Uniqlo etc.

I love Japanese style I have a few Issey Miyake Pleats Please dresses, which I love. I buy them on EBay they hold their value and are still expensive.
