Which Bronzer do you use?

I struggle finding a bronzer that doesn't leave me looking orange or ruddy. I want to add that warmth and glow to my skin that everyone seems to pull off so effortlessly. I have a light to medium warm skintone (Nc25). Can you please recommend which bronzers you use and your skintone? Thanks

I use the ELF bronzing palette in "golden". It gives a gorgeous, natural glow without being disco ball, orange or muddy.
I have light to medium skintone, and a lot of bronzers look too obvious on me, but I love this one. I swirl a brush over all the colours as the mix is beautiful. Its cheap too, which is a bonus Smile

I am NC25, I find Bourjois Delice de Poudre in the fair shade good. Hoola is too dark for me & I have found quite a few give me that dirty face look, rather than bronzed.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer is amazing. It's a high street brand from the States that I used to pick up every time I went home for a visit, but have just started seeing it in larger Boots.

It's the best bronzer I've ever used. The Light Bronzer for when I'm my normal pale and Bronzer when I'm tanned. It also smells delicious

I’m fairer than you, NC15, and adore the Chanel soleil tan de Chanel. It looks terrifying in the pan but is actually extremely easy to use and I’m not a bronzer expert. Easily my favourite purchase of 2019

Ivgotasecretcanyoukeepit · 31/12/2019 19:30

I use Chanel soleil de tan under my foundation then I use Charlotte tilburys filmstar bronze and glow in medium using a light touch. Gives a lovely glow and I use a matte bronzer to contour

SinglePringle · 31/12/2019 19:35

Chanel as above or the Bobbi Brown Golden Light powder. Neither have a hint of shimmer and work on so many skin tones. I’m a dark haired, green eyes with a medium, freckly skin colour with yellow undertones.

Hourglass ambient powders, I'm pale like you OP and this gives a warmed up, polished look without the oompah loopah effect.

I like the NARS Laguna liquid. I’m super pale and it blends really well and I don’t think it’s shimmery (but don’t quote me as I’m too lazy to go and check!).

I really like the Body Shop matte bronzer. I use the lightest shade, even though I am not particularly fair skinned. It’s subtle and I sweep it all over my face, not just cheeks. I’m not a fan of their other make up, but this was recommended to me and I’ve repurchased twice this year.

suze28 · 31/12/2019 20:12

NC15 here and the Chanel soleil de tan has been my best purchase of this year. I'd always feared bronzer but this one is subtle and gorgeous.

Thanks so much everyone these are really great suggestions! I've made a list to take with me to the shops so I can test out all of them and hopefully find the perfect one Smile Flowers

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil all year round

Sometimes Benefit Hoola when I'm tanned

I'm quite fair (MAC NW15) and most other bronzers look orange on my skin

Ticklemeelmo · 06/01/2020 13:43

Ooh might have to test out the Chanel one after reading this thread Smile

Lndnmummy · 06/01/2020 13:50

Can’t wait to try the Chanel one too! I have the hourglass one.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 06/01/2020 15:34

I love Mac Mineralize Skin Finish powder, can't remember the exact shade of mine but it goes on a dream, isn't shiny or orangey and lasts forever.

I also love Benefit's Hula powder.

lindyloo57 · 06/01/2020 17:17

I would love to try the chanel one, but as is not cruelty free I won't.

ReginaGeorgeous · 06/01/2020 18:05

I'm pale and I have Benefit Hoola Lite, it's the only bronzer that's not orange on me.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 06/01/2020 18:14

At the moment, I am really enjoying the Hourglass luminous bronze light from the volume 3 palette. It is, as the name suggests, luminous, which may not be to everyone’s taste.

I also really like Guerlain’s bronzers which come in different shades and finishes. They are so good.

stoplickingthetelly · 06/01/2020 20:11

Chanel is also my favourite too. I also really like the Bodyshop honey bronzer too. I think it might be shade 3 I use. I’m pale (Bobbi Brown cool ivory, Nars Mont Blanc) and neither of these make me orange. I’ve also used Bobbi Brown Golden Light in the past too.

frugalkitty · 06/01/2020 20:14

I'd never used bronzer until recently because as a cool toned skin I thought it wouldn't suit me. However (please don't kick me out of S&B for whispering this......) I bought the palest Younique one and it's lovely and natural and I'm converted. To bronzer, not Younique. I'm a Mac 20 and my DD is much paler than me but pinches it wears it all the time and it suits both of us.
