What colour of hat, bag and shoes would you pair with this dress for the races?

Depends how daring you are? As in do you want the hat, bag and shoes to be the same colour? You could go for a deep gold or bronze. Hot pink would look good ...

I suppose all 3 don't have to be the same colour. Shoes could be nude then a brighter colour for hat and shoes?

Beautiful velvet dress. You could wear lots of different colours, neutrals like black, gold or silver (nude would be fine colour-wise but not sure about velvet and nude shoes, one is wintery and the other is summery). Or you could do a 'pop of colour' of a rich orangy copper to contrast. Don't have all your accessories matching, and what colour to go for will be partly determined by the time of year.

I wore a dress that colour to a wedding - hot pink was amazing with it!
