Help finding nice warm / stylish coat

I am still owed a Christmas present from DH. I thought budget would be around 100/150 but apparently £300 so happy days!

I currently have a Parker style from super dry but the zip broke straight away and I've ended up wearing it for horses etc. So need a new one.

I don't want anything too formal so not wool, something that covers your bum and cosy in a darker colour. To wear to work and out and about but I'm casual person so with jeans, boots etc. I don't like the shiny puffer coats or one that is more of a ski jacket or too heavy - warm but not too warm.

Any ideas?

I always post on threads like this to suggest Seasalt Grin

Also place marking as I fancy a new coat myself... I would be up for a wool one though

I'm in same boat and am eyeing up a Barbour with liner....

I think it’s a shame coats don’t come with a tog label like duvets! About time they were rated effectively.

Which Barbour @GuyFawkesDay?

I like this:

But not sure if too shiny / thick.

I like this:

Not really that aware of the brand though? Any good?

I think a classic beadnell. Handwarmer pockets very appealing for playground duty 🤣

I had a traditional Barbour before, it was waxed but a shorter style. It wasn't cosy at all! It was a bit short in the sleeve as well which puts me off Barbour a bit.

I wish I had time to try these things on!
