Pick a coat for me please?

My Christmas bonus contained a £100 voucher for JL this year, I really need a new every day sort of coat (for work which is very casual, shopping, school pick ups etc) and have narrowed it down to these 3.

Tried on in store today but only had teen DS with me who just nodded encouragingly and said they all looked alright Hmm. So, which coat would you pick if you were me?

I’m 5 5, wear mainly jeans or wool trousers, slouchy tops, chunky boots and lots of jewellery. Quite with red ish hair, if it helps.

I love the green, but suspect the first one is the most versatile. The third one would potentially swamp you or be unflattering. (I think of it’s unflattering on a model, most likely to make a mere mortal look dumpy.) The first one is quirky and can be worn with more colours than the green one can, and has a simpler, more elongating line. I’d probably go for that one.

@DuchessDumbarton 1 and 2 are JL own label and 3rd French connection.

Green

Totally the green one, nicest of the bunch.

The green is far and away the most appealing in the pictures. The checked looks crumpled. And only you can tell us if the grey looks like a dressing gown on you.

I'd check what they're made of too though. That would definitely impact my decision.

Oh! thanks for answering- did you decide which one to go for?

Another trip into JL today and tried the green one on again (others OOS), the buckle on the waist belt/buttons felt cheap and plastic on closer inspection, so didn’t buy it, sadly as it is otherwise lovely.

They had a beautiful wool herringbone Jigsaw coat in but only had an 8 left.

Back to the drawing board!
