Rich day cream for very dry skin w/SPF

Hi there,

I am currently using a Neutrogena day cream with a high SPF but not only does it migrate to and sting my eyes, it’s not moisturising enough and by lunchtime my skin feels dry.

I’d rather not use a separate eye cream as I’m very pushed for time…And hate having loads of different products.

So an all over a rich face cream with an SPF would be fantastic if anybody could recommend one please?

Thank you X

I would look at eczema friendly brands like cerave, avene, eucerin. Cerave and avene both do face cream with spf (although I’ve yet to find a very rich face cream with spf tbh).

Cerave is great but if you need really rich you might be better getting a separate spf to go on top of a thick cream.

Nivea q10 age spots (only because it has 30spf)
I have the crispiest face and it works for me

I have very dry skin and generally use Oil of Olay Complete day cream for sensitive skin and this can even be put on the eyes without causing me any problems. It has SPF 15. The Body Shop also do a rich vitamin C one with SPF 30, but that's more expensive. They are both great for my extremely dry skin.

So many great sunscreens out there that sit well with make up, I dont think you need to limit yourself to brands that mix them. Just pick a moisturiser that fits your needs and the spf separately- plus then you have more flexibility with different times of the year, different spf levels (holidays in summer vs winter), different skin regimens ( ret and vitc).

I use beauty pie am PM jeju (lovely and thick, only need at night and use a serum during the day) and biore 50+ aqua. La Roche posay always gets rave reviews for their sunscreens.

I use the L’Oréal revitalift with SPF 30. Nice and thick with spf. They do an eye cream which I use, so not sure how the day cream is round the eyes. With most creams my skin feels really tight and itchy. Not with this one.

Watching in the hope of a miracle cream!
I loved la Roche posay cicaplast Baume, so lovely and thick and really helped my awful dry skin, but it seemed to stop working after about a month? Worth it for a short period of lovely skin though!
I know lots of people who really recommend avene products, and they do have spf in. I personally find their stuff too thin and it just tends to sit on my skin without really doing anything. I tried another of their facial moisturisers recently out of desperation but I think I had a reaction to it.
It’s not really a face cream, but I do tend to use aquaphor balm on really dry cracked areas which I’ve found amazing!
