Best nail varnishes

I'd like to start doing my nails more often. I can't afford regular manicures.

Does anyone have any tips on helping nail varnish to last longer? Also, do you know the best brands?

I currently have on 2 coats of no7 lasting finish and a top coat of Sally Henson insta-dry. It's last well since Christmas eve, just starting to show signs of wear and tear!

Any tips would be great!

I've been using Nailberry (eye-wateringly expensive - £18 a pop) and it is so beautifully easy to use. It comes in lovely colours and seems to stay on for ages on toes, although hasn't been so brilliant on hands for longevity.

I like the Rimmel gel polishes. Use the top coat too.

Love a Sally Hansen. I feel it goes on beautifully, but I've recently discovered an outlet that does 2 for 10quid OPI and it's a game changer. Buffed then Base coat with whatever I had at home, 2 coats OPI and I've a rimmel topcoat I put on. Stayed unmoved for a week and I've a very hands on job.
