Not a makeover, as such, but I'm expecting it to be a bit of a challenge, style-wise. I'm about to have my first baby, so I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself looks-wise, but otoh I'm desperate to feel like me again.
The term "mum style" usually gets a bashing on MN for the clearly mother-bashing overtones, but I've started to see where it comes from. I've been unable to wear any non-flat shoes since I was 4 months. Maternity clothes at a price point I can afford seem to be entirely skinny jeans and Breton tops. It's like I'm pregnant in 2009.
I haven't made any firm decisions about how baby will be fed yet, and I just don't know what recovery from birth will be like, when/how much I'll be able to exercise again, when/if/how much weight I lose etc., so I don't know what shape I'll be, whether dresses will be a goer, whether all tops will have to be accessible. I did buy a couple of things in the January sale to look forward to wearing later but that was probably stupid 🙈
DH got me a lovely handbag for a Christmas, bless him.
