Hi, please can anybody recommend an eye shadow, or a palette of colours that I can wear for work?

Nothing sparkly as I’m front line staff NHS, but not too matte either, if there is such a thing?
Any help appreciated.

I would go for an eye crayon of I was you, sounds like a good for for your needs.

PhilCollinsFingerWag · 27/12/2019 19:39

Oh right, thanks @Pinkyyy, I’ve never heard of eye crayons, I’ll have a look.

Or look at Boots natural collection they do some 'quieter' shades - nothing too sparkly.

You need a satin finish eyeshadow

Greyhound22 · 27/12/2019 19:48

Do you use blusher? If you use a more muted tone (I tend to use a bronzer or more brown tone like Benefit Hoola) that doubles up as an eyeshadow and is subtle - just a touch of colour.

Good idea @Greyhound22, I use a bronzer, I’ll try it tomorrow and see how it looks 👁

I like Loreal Infallible Eyepaint in Nudist or Peach Me Babe, they are both very neutral colours that go on really easily and last all day.

This is a good one too

I love Charlotte tilbury pillow talk.

PhilCollinsFingerWag · 28/12/2019 08:16

I’ll have a look at that one too @thisisallnewtome8.

Well, I’ve ordered the Maybelline on and on Bronze eyeshadow, plus I’ve bought two similar ones from Revlon Colorstay.
I think that’s me sorted now, thanks for all of your suggestions xxx

I was given a lovely benefit palette for Christmas. Nothing sparkly!

Ooh, that looks lovely @Miseryisabutterfly, I might look into that also.

You can’t die of having too many eyeshadows 😀.

The M&S Rosie for Autograph eyeshadow sticks are excellent and are currently half price. ( The regular Autograph don't compare). I've tried lots of brands and these ones are as good as Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier IMO. www.marksandspencer.com/cream-eyeshadow-sparkle-and-magic/p/p22445285?color=BROWN

Revlon colorstay in cream eyeshadow in chocolate is great and doesnt shift or smudge.
