Nivea Creme

Hi Clever people in my phone!

I've been searching desperately for an alternative to Nivea Creme that doesn't contain fragrance.

It's the only cream that's ever suited my skin but I have developed a fragrance allergy! Every other cream (including Cetaphil, E45, CeraVe etc etc etc) irritates my skin! It makes me so sad to have to live with sore skin :-(

Does anyone know of any moisturisers that have the ingredients of Nivea Creme without the fragrance??

Ponds cream?

juliaelizabeth1978 · 27/12/2019 18:23

I think most have fragrance in...I'll check their website tho! Thanks xx

Have you tried Aveeno? Don't know if it has the same ingredients as Nivea but it's good for sensitive skin, I can't really use anything scented at all but Aveeno is fine.

Abibranning · 27/12/2019 18:48

Just remembered Nivea also do a fragrance free facial moisturiser. I wish they'd state the full ingredients as I'm the same with Olay can't use any of their perfumed ones but no problems with other moisturiser.

Are you sure it's fragrance? I have very sensitive skin but can't actually work out what I'm allergic to, some things work for me that are fragranced. I get on best with Aldi Lacura creams (fragranced but ok on me) and Superdrug simply pure hydrating serum (which IS fragrance free)

iheartspiders · 27/12/2019 18:53

I used nivea growing up on my eczema prone skin. At some point I switched to aveeno (cream, NOT lotion) and it's just as soothing but way less greasy. Definitely worth a try.

juliaelizabeth1978 · 27/12/2019 19:58

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've tried Aveeno but reacted to it unfortunately. It's so frustrating! It's definitely the fragrance, I had a patch test for allergies. The trouble is I think lots of other things also irritate my skin, no idea what it was about Nivea Creme that my skin loved so much!

I think Nivea Soft doesn't have a scent. It's a brilliant cream.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 27/12/2019 23:55

Nivea soft is heavily perfumed.

There is an unfragranced Aveeno I think.

Jsjeksmne · 27/12/2019 23:56

Neutrogena hydro boost- for dry skin is fragrance free. I’ve only used the normal one as I have oily skin but I really like the consistency and feel on my skin

Not specifically a face cream but FF and by Nivea.

Vaseline also do a FF lotion in a big white bottle which is excellent for the face.

Try a pure oil like almond oil?

beanaseireann · 28/12/2019 09:08

Elave is an Irish brand specifically for excema/ sensitive skin. Boots sell it ( in Ireland anyway ).
I'm sure it is available online.
No nasties in it.

helpfulperson · 28/12/2019 09:20

Do you actually need anything? Would your skin be better without moisturising? Ive never used any and my skin is in good condition for 50 but appreciate that may not work for everyone.
