Long layered hair that has been tonged/ curled on end

Every now and again I see women with long layered hair and they have curled the ends of it with either a tong or thin straightener.

Can someone please enlighten me how they do this as it looks so lovely. I haven't a clue! What procedure and products do you use?

I think most use a flat iron to curl the hair

I do this, it’s a far easier way of looking like you have a blow dry than you do

I roughly blow dry my hair, then take one inch sections, run straighteners down most of the hair then when I get to the last 3-4 inches I turn the straighteners to the diagonal and and twist my wrist. Gives you an inch or two of large curl at the bottom and the layers done this way look great as the curls all fall at slightly different lengths.

Spray with hair spray and voila!
