Slim fitting boots. Where to find them?

Hi all,

I am in dire need of a new pair of black knee high boots.

They need to have a slim and high heel and a rounded toe.

They also need to fit my skinny calves.

I have checked on the Duo (Ted and Muffy) website and am distinctly uninspired (plus they are way over my budget)

Does anyone have any recommendations for skinny fit knee highs? My budget is up to £150.

I have found several nice looking pairs on Hugh street shop sites, the problem is that baggy seems to be the thing at the moment and that just makes me look like I'm wearing wellies.

Help?!?

I've had three pairs of boots and shoes from Duo. The quality is outstanding. If you can hold on a few more weeks you may get a real bargain at the end of the sale.

I think you really need to try them on in person.
I have Moda in Pelle boots, some of which go on easy, another pair of which I cannot actually zip up past a certain point and would probably suit you wel.

Are you very slim yourself, i.e are you say a size 6 or 8?

Just curious whether, if I slim down, I'll be able to get my tricky boots on (not the reason for slimming down but a bonus.)

@SuckingDieselFella - I've had two pairs of Duo boots before but I've not rated them for the last couple of years. The high heel section has been distinctly lacking.

@ouch321 - I'm a 6/8. I used to have very skinny calves at 30 cm around when I was the small side of a 6 but I've gone up to 34 cm around now so hopefully I might have a slim (pardon the pun) chance of fitting in normal high street boots.

There is nothing else on the high street with 28 different leg fittings. If you don't like Duo the alternative is a handmade pair of boots.

In my student days I used to work part time in a posh shoes boutiques. They would mostly sell Italian and Spanish shoes a couple of designer names. I’d say probably 5% of customers could wear their knee high leather boots because the calf circumference was so narrow. They had the most amazing selection, elegant but comfortable and exceptionally high quality, all customers could easily afford more than one pair a week but simply couldn’t do up the zips although most of the ladies looked slim to me - different build and stronger legs that was all.
So look for Italian or Spanish boots in well heeled areas where such independent shops might exist.

Gabor do slim calf fitting boots. I think the style might be called Toye.
