Fuck me there are a lot of culottes in the sales

Culottes, cropped trousers, wide-leg crops...nobody wants these, do they? Not least because if you’re not wearing sandals nothing works with them (no not ankle boots, you look like you got dressed in the dark or grew six inches during the day).

I love them and wear them year round. Once you get your head around them they're very easy to style. And as someone with a small waist, chunky thighs and small ankles they are very flattering.

I'm not sure why MN hates them so, this thread is repeated every few months...

I have lots. I have been wearing cullotes with coloured tights and vintage 70s knee boots. I have some stiffer 7/8 cropped wide legs that I wear with sneakers (converse type). I'm off to the sales!

I can only wear them un the summer with sandals or I look daft, and am jealous . I think they look gorgeous (and very french) on the lithe, with boots, turtleneck and a long coat.
