Anybody else missing their annual trip to the sales?

For the first time in about 15 years I havent got up early on boxing day to go to the sales were sat in our PJs and eating Christmas stuff.

I am just totally uninspired with shops at the minute who just never seem to have anything decent in.

Anybody else not bothering this year?

I have bought a couple of pairs of work trousers from JL online - was planning to try them on anyway and they were reduced from 60 to 30 and I had a voucher so that seemed sensible. I struggle with trousers though so whether I keep them or not is moot.

That's it so far and not really planning anything else - maybe a work top from Boden if the trousers work

I've got a couple of bits online but I'm not bothering with the high street or retail park. There isnt much I want or need, tbh, and I just dont feel up to how busy everywhere will be, or getting bashed with bags if my husband was to take me in my wheelchair. Instead, we're taking advantage of the free Sky Sports day and watching the Edinburgh derby. Husband's team is losing.

I have never in my life got up early on Boxing Day to traipse round the shops, can't think of anything worse tbh, but I have done some great online shopping in the last 48 hours so I'm chuffed with that.

Yes I used to enjoy going early - it's so much more peaceful than people make out and you can get in and out really fast.
This is first year I've missed it in about 6.
But a baby will do that to you...
Online isn't the same.

I used to this 24 years ago but it’s all polyester now. Very uninspiring.

I don't enjoy shopping in crowds I'd rather be at home. I ordered a dress from Matches sale.

I've done a bit of online sales shopping. New running trainers and a cardigan from Monsoon. I want to get a few things for the house but I'll wait for the rush to die down and go next week.

Not this year. I'm feeling jaded with shopping but honestly after that Next petition I am starting to think we should all boycott the high st on Boxing Day so workers can spend time with their families.
