If you have lash extensions, how long do they last?

I have mine redone/infilled every two weeks but I think it's pointless really as within 5 or 6 days they all fall out anyway.

I started having them done so that I didn't have to wear eye make up and because my lashes are very short and fine, but they only look good for a couple of days.

The lady who does my lashes says that it's normal for them all to fall out after a few days for some clients but I know others that get them done seem to have lashes that last for weeks.

Feeling really fed up as I'm paying £40 a time!

I pay £28 per infill and mine look really good for about a week, then a little less but still pretty great the second. My “starts to feel grim” point is around 2.5 weeks, so I can go three weeks between appointments.

I am considering a break in the new year though, to wear more eye makeup.

Do you have oily skin? I had a brainwave that my oily skin might be causing mine to fall out quicker so this time I’ve been blotting my eyelids with tissue and that seems to have helped. I’ve also tried a different lady and got better lasting results than previously. I sleep in an eye mask I got from Amazon that is like a padded bra for your eyes, so leaves a bit of an air pocket over the lashes (front sleeper).

I’ve never done infills as I’ve only had them done a few times for special occasions and then let them fall out - it’s really pricey in my bit of the country to keep getting them done every couple of weeks

I can't even get two weeks out of mine. I'm on day 10 and getting an infill today as they're looking absolutely grim. So frustrating. Not sure if it's the tech or me.

I'll give it another couple of infills, and if I can't get 2 weeks out of them, I'll have to stop getting them done. :(

Mine last 4-5 weeks. I pay £50 but it’s worth it. In my experience it’s not normal at all for them all to fall out and I’d be asking for my money back.

Mine only lasted 2 weeks too so I stopped having them done. I have oily skin.

What’s the difference between them and false lashes you buy in the pound shop? I’ve never had professional long lasting ones done but I recall a thread on here if people who used to spend a fortune in theirs that swapped to diy ones and wouldn’t go back. Is that an option or are the salon ones more comfortable or something?

I stopped doing infills and now just get a full set every 4 weeks and they are good until just before my appointment when they all mysteriously shed.

I am so gutted though, for Chrismas I asked my lash tech to do volume lashes where they attach multiple to one lash as a special thing for Chrismas, then I had a horrendous bug a few hours after she left and spend the night vommitting so obviously my eyes were drenched and my lashes started dropping off! 😩

Mine cost a bomb, very jealous of all your 40 quid ones!

In answer to your op - I think it depends on the lash technician and the glue they use
