Has ANYONE actually reduced wrinkles ?!

Me face is falling apart and it’s really getting me down & massively affecting my confidence AGAINST my better judgment although maybe if I’d looked after myself I would have aged much better than this!

Im dedicating 2020 to really sorting out my skin and need advice

I have thin pale Irish skin with many premature wrinkles and eye bags from a huge amount of stress as well as poor lifestyle decisions

My hairs pretty good it’s thick and dark brown and I don’t really have any greys at 45 but sometimes having young hair just contrasts with a battered old coupon!

So I have alpha liquid gold which I am currently using.
Want a dermologica extraction facial. Have that booked for 28th

Am planning to start retinol after Xmas.

But what I actually want is a medium depth peel. Actually I’d do a deeper one if it was worth it!

I am happy to pay to sort out my skin, but i need to know I’ll get results.

I want my wrinkles to become noticeably and visibly reduced. I want them gone. I need to improve elasticity... I seem to have loose skin on my face, under my eyes, at the side of my mouth. I have very stubborn sebaceous filaments which don’t seem to shift unless it’s mechanical shifting!

What is the best and most guaranteed way pls?

I guess I only notice the tight shiny ones and it puts me off. I have 11s and they make me look tired/cross at times but I’m terrified of botulism so hide them with a fringe!

@lilgreen Botox will zap those. And over time you don’t use those muscles anymore. Plus you can start slowly and just get those zapped and nothing else eg no other forehead wrinkles.

lilgreen · 27/12/2019 09:42

But that means a commitment of at least £600 pa indefinitely. I’d hate to be without it once I’d had it done.

RuggyPeg · 27/12/2019 11:01

Yep, Botox for the 11s is fantastic. I've been having it for 15 years. I get it done less now cos a tight forehead and an ageing lower face don't match! A sprinkle though in the right place magically just makes the 11s disappear.

Tur - laser or electrolysis for thread veins. Very effective but be warned, electrolysis in particular stings like fuckery!!

@lilgreen yep but they never come back the same again. They are weakened for good Grin

VanityScare · 28/12/2019 22:59

Well I have completely completely removed every last sebaceous filament from my nose doing something v stupid. Even those in the side creases that never shift.

I was using Bazuka gel on a corn, and idly saw that it had 14% salicylic acid...and 5 percent lactic acid...i slathered some on my nose after a good facial scrub and peeled
It all off an hour later. Everything gone. Not a dot to be seen.

My nose was sore and red for a couple of days, definitely not something you would do more than once: but I did it. I’ll never do it again, a regular facial, retinol and liquid gold is the way I’ll be going from now on

You can get salicylate acid in a skin cream- good for KP on upper arms.

lilgreen · 29/12/2019 16:10

Salicylic

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 29/12/2019 16:37

Don't want to put a downer on things but to say 'try Botox, no risk' is beyond fucking irresponsible to be honest.
It carries a black box warning.

Expo · 30/12/2019 15:45

I don’t think anybody said that Botox has no risks. Just that it works.

BrotherlyLove · 30/12/2019 15:58

You said it Hmm

Expo · 01/01/2020 13:27

If you read the sentence I meant no risk of a frozen face.
