Ray-Ban Clubmaster Size?

Last minute shopping for a Christmas present for my boyfriend and I'd like to get him a pair of Ray-Ban club masters. However, I am very undecided over the 49mm or 51mm sizes.

Both would fit him, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any knowledge/opinion on which size would look better on a man in general?
I know no-one here can say 100% but more just looking for opinions if anyone or a DH owns a pair!

What size is his head? DH always buys the largest size frame as he has a big head

I feel bad saying he's got a big head, but he does rather... so you'd recommend the larger size?

I always find the bigger the head the bigger the frame if that makes sense. DHs head is big but in proportion to the rest of him 😆
