gel nail varnish advice

I've just bought some gel nail varnish as a gift. Do you have to have a uv light to cure it or will it dry ok on its own? Not sure if I've made a mistake. Thanks.

It depends what kind. Is the bottle transparent or opaque?

Is it a gel effect or a gel polish?

Gel effect, like Rimmel/Barry M etc do not need a lamp. Actual gel polish does.

Can you post a picture so we can advise better?

The bottle/box will say if a lamp is required.

That one is gel effect not actual gel, so no lamp needed
