Cowshed- style over substance or not?

I've only used it once as freebies on hols so have no idea...

thinking of it for gifts really.

Is it actually a decent quality product line (I know it was started by the guys who own Babington Hs so they aren't exactly skin care gurus.)

Or is it a load of hype?

I love Cowshead but think it’s quite hit and miss. Some of the shower gels are very thin and watery compared to others. Plus some of them smell awfully manly / way too herbal if that makes sense.

I love the hand wash and the hand cream which has peppermint in it is gorgeous. The duo of those two is a pretty nice gift.

Otherwise, Aesop is beautiful and similar approach.

I’ve had a couple of their shower gels. They were okay, did the job, not particularly memorable. If I received them as a gift I would be happy with them however, they are decent quality and wouldn’t upset my skin.

I like the conditioner - had it in a hotel and it left my hair lovely and bouncy. Smells nice. It's not shit.

Nice but overpriced for what they are

Treated myself to a gift pack of their shower gels.Never again. So annoyed I spent the money when Radox shower gel is preferable.

When they first started Cowshed, the products were amazing! (as were the treatments at Babington House). Then they went mass market and the quality definitely declined. So sad really. This seems to happen to so many smaller/niche brands (I'm thinking of you Trevor Sorbie salon shampoo and conditioner! Sad)

I’ve always thought the product names are horrible. I realise it’s meant to be funny, but I just find it horribly misogynistic.
