Ripped jeans after 5 weeks

Would it be reasonable to return a pair of jeans (from Tesco £22), that have ripped on one leg, in the crotch area, after only 5 weeks?

I’m really annoyed as normally I’d buy cheapo primary jeans which last easily 6/12 months, but I decided to spend a little more on the Tesco ones in a hope they’d keep their colour better (they haven’t) and they’ve lasted only a mere 5 weeks!

Take them back, 5 weeks is ridiculous. I'd be very surprised if they didn't exchange or refund.

I took back a coat I had for my birthday 5 weeks ago, all the se on the arm had ripped. I wasn’t going too take it back, but my mum nagged. Glad she did, I got a full refund - without the receipt. Definitely take it back.

Take it back also take back clothes that bleed for example H and m tops for children that have two colours

I think this depends, did the jeans fit well or were they too tight? It really depends on whether the material degraded and was poor or simply you were wearing a size too small and that's why they ripped.

They were a good fit, a very good fit actually which is part of why I chose them over my normal primark purchase.
Thanks for the replies everyone, I’ll see what Tesco have to say
