I bought a beautiful lagenlook style duck egg blue velvet dress in a charity shop last week and I’m hunting for a lovely longline cardigan to go with it. I prefer roomy when it comes to cardigans so looking for size L or 16 plus and ideally a bluey green or complimentary colour to the dress. Budget is up to £100 and I’m looking for something high quality (cashmere /velvet/ silk or wool). I’ve tried ebay for Bora/ Boden and Pure Collection but nothing so far. Prefer good quality used but not adverse to new. Anyone seen anything?

Tried to take a good photo of dress - it’s not really capturing colour - but giveS an idea of shape - it has pockets Grin

Is the dress formal or on the more casual side? Kettlewell Colours often have some nice cardigans/wraps. They have quite an extensive colour choice too.

Oh I have dress envy ! I would be more incline to layer under it even if it meant lowerin the neckline of a long sleeved thermal layer.
But my lager look cardigans that I layer with lager look include Phase Eight This is ice blue

Kit and Kaboodal This in grey

And Mint Velvet can’t see the right shape for you

I recently bought a soft lurex long line cocoon cardigan but it was from an agency and the label was cut out .

None of these sound luxurious tho .Sad

Uniqlo has a lot of cashmere sweaters and cardigans in a great variety of colors.
Their merino stuff is lovely as well.

Thank you really great suggestions!

Everley - although the dress is velvet, it’s shape is quite loose and makes it fine to wear as day wear with tights and chunky boots.

Trumpton - I like the idea of layering! A sheer cotton jersey top like the ones Boden do in summer would work well I think. Good idea!

Honeybee - love Uniqlo! recently bought a lovely snuggly black wool jumper dress from them and have been known to go o a bit mad for their cashmere at sale time!
